Any showers and thunderstorms will come to an end this evening, and we will be partly cloudy, mild and muggy overnight with lows in the upper 60s.
The heat and humidity will build a little more for the weekend. On Saturday, it will be partly sunny, windy, very warm, and even more humid with a chance for afternoon showers and thunderstorms as highs climb into the upper 80s with heat index values as high as the mid 90s. Scattered showers and thunderstorms are likely Saturday night, with lows near 70. Sunday will be partly sunny, breezy, very warm and humid with a chance for showers and thunderstorms. Highs will reach the upper 80s to near 90 with heat index values as high as the middle 90s again.
Monday will remain very warm and humid with a better chance for scattered showers and thunderstorms as a low pressure system and cold front approach from the west. Highs on Monday will reach the middle 80s with heat index values near 90. The cold front ! will move through Monday night, with showers and thunderstorms ending with the passage of the front.
Behind the cold front, temperatures will fall off, and humidity levels should decrease as well. Tuesday will become partly sunny and warm, but less humid with highs in the upper 70s and a slight chance of an afternoon shower. Wednesday and Thursday look to be very nice, with lots of sunshine and highs in the middle 70s.

NOTES:
The Storm Prediction Center says that there is a SLIGHT RISK of severe thunderstorms for Saturday and Saturday night for the eastern two-thirds of Minnesota, all but far ! northwestern Iowa, and the western half of Wisconsin (west of an Ironw ood, MI to Marshfield to Darlington line). A very warm and humid air mass across the Midwest will become unstable Saturday afternoon. As cooler air aloft spreads over Minnesota Saturday afternoon, thunderstorms will develop, some of which may be severe. Hail, high winds, and heavy rainfall are the main threats. The thunderstorms should weaken as they move eastward into the rest of Wisconsin later Saturday night, but still may be caplable of gusty winds, small hail, and heavy rainfall.
There is a SLIGHT RISK of severe thunderstorms for Sunday and Sunday night for the southeastern three-quarters of Minnesota, all of Iowa, and most of Wisconsin (except for areas adjacent to Lake Michigan). Thunderstorms should end Sunday morning in Wisconsin, allowing for a very warm to hot and humid air mass to develop. As a low pressure system and cold front move into Minnesota and western Iowa, more thunderstorms will develop Sunday afternoon, some of which may be! severe. Hail, high winds, and heavy rainfall area the main threats, although tornadoes can't be ruled out, especially where thunderstorms develop in Minnesota and Iowa. The severe weather threat may persist into Sunday night and Monday.
