Any lingering showers and thunderstorms (mainly north and east of Madison) should end this evening, otherwise, partly cloudy skies will gradually clear overnight. It will be cooler with temperatures falling into the lower 60s by late evening, and to the middle 50s by morning.
Wednesday and Thursday will be pleasant as high pressure moves overhead. Wednesday will be partly sunny with highs in the middle 70s. Thursday will be mostly sunny with highs right around 80 degrees.
On Friday, and approaching storm system will cause skies to become increasingly cloudy. Breezy southerly winds will bring in more humid air, with scattered showers and thunderstorms developing in the afternoon. High temperatures will be around 80 degrees again.
More heat and humidity will return for the weekend. It will be very warm and humid with partly sunny skies and highs in the middle 80s for both Saturday and Sunday. Showers and thunderstorms are possi! ble, with the best chances from Friday night into early Saturday morning; from later Saturday afternoon into early Sunday morning, and again late Sunday afternoon. Much of the time during the day we should stay free from rain.
A cold front will move through the area on Sunday night. While a few showers and thunderstorms may linger into early Monday morning, the rest of Monday should be partly sunny, and it will turn breezy, cooler, and less humid with highs in the upper 70s. Tuesday looks to be pleasant as well with mostly sunny skies and highs in the middle 70s.
