High pressure will remain in control of the region tonight and Thursday with quiet weather conditions across southern Wisconsin. Tonight will be mostly clear and comfortable with overnight lows in the lower 50s. Thursday will be mostly sunny and pleasant with highs near 80 degrees.
On Friday, clouds will increase with an approaching storm system. Breezy southerly winds will bring in increasingly humid air with a chance for scattered showers and thunderstorms developing in the afternoon. High temperatures will be around 80 degrees.
Heat and humidity will increase for the weekend. It will be very warm and humid with partly sunny skies, highs in the middle 80s, and heat index values near 90 for both Saturday and Sunday. Showers and thunderstorms are possible both weekend days, mainly early each day and again in the late days and nighttime hours. Even with the rain chances, most of the daylight hours should be free from rain.
A co! ld front will move through the area on Sunday night, which will lower both the heat and humidity for Monday. Highs will be in the upper 70s Monday with skies becoming partly sunny. Tuesday and Wednesday will be cooler than normal with mostly sunny skies and highs in the lower to middle 70s.
