Skies will remain mostly cloudy tonight and it will turn cooler. There's a chance for showers, mainly in the evening. Temperatures will fall to the middle 60s by late evening; low temperatures will fall to the middle 50s by morning.
Wednesday will be mostly cloudy and quite cool, with a slight chance of showers, mainly in the afternoon. Highs will only be in the upper 60s. As showers end early in the evening, skies will clear overnight and it will be rather chilly; low temperatures will fall to the upper 40s.
The weather looks to be very nice for Thursday and the Friday, the Fourth of July, as high pressure takes over. It should be mostly sunny both days with highs in the middle 70s on Thursday and in the upper 70s on Friday.
For next weekend, the heat and humidity will slowly make a comeback, as will our chances of showers and thunderstorms. Saturday will still be fairly pleasant with highs in the lower 80s; there's a slight ch! ance of showers and thunderstorms, mainly in the afternoon. Sunday will be very warm and more humid with highs in the middle 80s and heat index values near 90. We'll have another slight chance of showers and thunderstorms as well.
Scattered showers and thunderstorms are a little more likely on Monday as a storm system passes to the north and drags a cold front across southern Wisconsin. Highs will be in the middle 80s and heat index values will be near 90. Showers and thunderstorms should end on Tuesday morning as the cold front moves away, and while it will be warm, it will turn a little less humid with highs in the lower 80s.
