Quiet weather will continue tonight with partly cloudy skies, mild, and muggy conditions. Patchy fog may develop and low temperatures will fall into the middle 60s. High pressure will slide to the east on Monday with very warm and humid conditions across the region. Skies will be partly sunny with highs in the upper 80s. Heat index values will reach the 90s.
An area of low pressure will approach from the west late Monday night and Tuesday. Showers and thunderstorms are possible late Monday night, mainly for areas northwest of Madison. Showers and thunderstorms are possible across southern Wisconsin early Tuesday and again Tuesday afternoon and night. Highs on Tuesday will be around 90 degrees with heat index values in the middle 90s. Some storms Tuesday afternoon and night may be strong or severe. Showers will end early on Wednesday with sunshine expected for the remainder of the day. It will also be cooler and less humid Wednesday with highs in the! upper 70s.
Pleasant weather will continue for late in the work week. Thursday will be mostly sunny with highs reaching the upper 70s. Friday will be partly sunny with highs around 80 degrees.
Another storm system will approach Wisconsin by next weekend. Shower and thunderstorm chances will develop late Friday night and will continue on Saturday and Sunday. The weekend will be a little more humid with highs in the upper 70s to around 80 degrees.
