High pressure will be overhead tonight, leading to mostly clear skies, light winds, and cooler than normal temperatures. Temperatures will fall to the upper 50s by late evening; overnight low temperatures will drop to the lower 50s by morning.
Friday will be partly sunny and a little warmer as high pressure moves to the east, and our winds pick up from the south and southwest. High temperatures will climb to the lower 80s. Humidity levels will begin to creep up on Friday night, perhaps leading to a few showers and thunderstorms overnight. Low temperatures will be much milder, returning to the lower to middle 60s.
Saturday will be variably cloudy, warm, and humid with scattered showers and thunderstorms. Highs will reach the lower to middle 80s. As a cold front moves southward through southern Wisconsin Saturday night and heads into Illinois early on Sunday. it's possible that a shower or thunderstorm could linger into early Sunday morning. The ! rest of the day should be partly sunny and warm, but it will gradually turn less humid with high temperaturees in the lower 80s.
A weak area of high pressure will move in for early next week. Monday will be partly sunny and warm, but not too humid with high temperatures around 80 degrees. As the high moves to the east Monday night, more humid air will return, leading to a chance for showers and thunderstorms. Tuesday will be variably cloudy, warm, and more humid with scattered showers and thunderstorms; high temperatures will be in the lower 80s.
On Wednesday, very warm and humid air takes hold for a few days. Expect partly sunny skies Wednesday through Friday with isolated afternoon showers and thunderstorms each day. High temperatures will gradually increase from the mid 80s on Wednesday to near 90 by Friday with heat index values reaching the mid to upper 90s by the end of the week.
