A cold front moving through this evening will bring a few showers and thunderstorms through the area, and any lingering showers will end overnight. Lows will drop into the lower 60s. Behind the front, skies on Sunday will become partly sunny, and it will turn a little cooler and less humid; high temperatures will be in the upper 70s.
Monday will be increasingly cloudy, warm and humid with showers and thunderstorms developing in the afternoon or evening and highs in the lower 80s. Scattered showers and thunderstorms will continue Monday night and Tuesday, with Tuesday's highs dipping back near 80.
Wednesday will be partly sunny, warm and humid with highs in the lower to middle 80s. A warm front will then move north of the area on Thursday, which will trigger one of the warmer stretches of weather we've seen all summer. We will have chances of showers and thunderstorms each day Thursday through Saturday because of the front in the vicinity ! and high temperatures will rise from the upper 80s Thursday to near 90 Friday through Sunday. Heat index values will be in the mid to upper 90s throughout this period.
