This afternoon will be mostly cloudy, very warm, and humid with scattered showers and thunderstorms as a warm front moves through southern Wisconsin. Any thunderstorm is capable of producing heavy rain, gusty winds, and hail. High temperatures should reach the middle to upper 80s, with heat index readings up to around 90 degrees.
The warm front is forecast to move north of southern Wisconsin later tonight, but will still be close enough for a continued threat of scattered showers and thunderstorms. Otherwise, tonight will be mostly cloudy, very mild, and muggy with low temperatures falling to around 70 degrees.
As the warm front moves into northern Wisconsin, the weather for Friday, Saturday, Sunday, and Monday will be partly sunny, hot and humid with just slight chances for showers and thunderstorms, mainly due to the high humidity. Highs will be in the lower 90s with afternoon heat index values around 100 degrees.
After that very w! arm stretch of weather, things will cool down slightly for the rest of next week, but it will remain very unsettled. A cold front will move through the area on Tuesday, and then drift back north at some point later in the week, leading to continued chances of showers and thunderstorms through Friday. Highs will be in the middle 80s and humidity will remain high.
