A cold front will push through Wisconsin tonight and stall out across northern Illinois. There will be a chance for showers and thunderstorms tonight, as well as some areas of fog possible. Low temperatures will fall into the middle 60s.
The front will remain nearly stationary across Illinois and Iowa for Tuesday and Wednesday with only slight chances for showers and thunderstorms. Skies will be variably cloudy with highs around 80 on Tuesday and in the upper 70s on Wednesday. High temperatures will be dependent on the amount of cloudiness and coverage of the rain.
On Thursday, skies will become mostly cloudy as a low pressure system develops in the Plains. The chance for showers and thunderstorms will continue into Friday as the storm system gets closer. Highs for both Thursday and Friday will be in the middle to upper 70s.
The storm system will move through the area on Friday night, and head to the northeast on Saturday. Lingering ! showers should end Saturday morning, and skies will become partly sunny, allowing high temperatures to climb to around 80 degrees. Sunday should be partly sunny with just a slight chance for showers and thunderstorms. Sunday will be warm with high temperatures in the lower 80s. On Labor Day Monday, winds will pick up from the south, allowing temperatures to climb into the middle 80s with a little more humidity. As a cold front approaches from the west, there will be some showers and thunderstorms developing, mainly in the afternoon into Monday night.
