A warm front approaching from the southwest will bring mostly cloudy skies tonight, and it will be milder and muggy. Scattered showers and thunderstorms will develop, especially after midnight. Temperatures will fall to the lower 70s by late evening; overnight low temperatures will drop to the middle 60s by morning.
Thursday will be variably cloudy, very warm, and humid with scattered showers and thunderstorms, as high temperatures reach the middle to upper 80s, with afternoon heat index readings to around 90 degrees. The warm front is forecast to move north of southern Wisconsin on Thursday night, but will still be close enough to bring the threat for scattered showers and thunderstorms.
As the warm front moves into northern Wisconsin, the weather for Friday, Saturday, Sunday, and Monday will be partly sunny, hot and humid with just slight chances for showers and thunderstorms, mainly due to the high humidity. Highs will be in the lo! wer 90s with afternoon heat index values around 100 degrees.
A cold front will move through Wisconsin on Monday night, bringing some showers and thunderstorms. The cold front will move into northern Illinois on Tuesday, and then will head back northward as a warm front on Tuesday night into Wednesday. Tuesday will be variably cloudy and humid, but not as warm with a chance for showers and thunderstorms. Showers and thunderstorms are likely on Wednesday with mostly cloudy skies. High temperatures for both days will be in the lower 80s.
