The Storm Prediction Center says that there is a SLIGHT RISK of severe thunderstorms for tonight over central Wisconsin (north of a La Crosse to Watertown to Sheboygan line). A cold front will be approaching northwestern Wisconsin later tonight. While the air is humid, showers ! and thunderstorms from this morning and afternoon have kept temperatures cooler than forecast. Scattered thunderstorms have developed in western and northwestern Wisconsin, and should move through the state at night. High winds, hail, and heavy rainfall are possible with these thunderstorms, with the severe weather threat lessening overnight as the atmosphere cools down and the front advances into southern Wisconsin.
