Another chilly day is ahead with possibly record-setting cold temperatures. The Temperatures will struggle to get back to 50 this afternoon which is over 20 degrees below normal. Skies will be mostly cloudy skies with scattered slight showers expected. Showers will come to an end tonight, with skies clearing late at night. Patchy frost will be possible, mainly in areas northwest of Dane county as temperatures fall into the upper 30s.
The weekend looks mostly sunny and we will see a slow warming trend. Highs will be in the upper 50s on Saturday and in the middle 60s on Sunday. Scattered showers will develop Monday with highs in the lower 60s.
Cool but pleasant weather is in the forecast for the remainder of next week. We'll see mostly sunny skies Tuesday, and partly sunny skies Wednesday through Friday. A gradual warming trend will take place with highs in the middle 60s Tuesday, in the upper 60s on Wednesday and the lower 70s on Th! ursday.
