Heat and humidity will begin to return today. Skies will be partly sunny and breezy southerly winds will boost high temperatures to the lower to middle 80s. A warm front moving through the area Wednesday night and Thursday morning will bring scattered showers and thunderstorms to southern Wisconsin.
The front will lift north of the area during the day Thursday, allowing skies to become partly sunny, and high temperatures will climb to the upper 80s. There is a slight chance of showers and thunderstorms late in the day Thursday, and if these develop, some of them may be severe. A cold front will pass through Wisconsin on Thursday night with scattered showers and thunderstorms behind the front.
Showers and thunderstorms will end on Friday morning, and it will turn partly sunny, cooler, and less humid by Friday afternoon as high temperatures fall back into the middle 70s.
High pressure will build into the Midwest for the weekend, b! ringing quiet and pleasant weather. Saturday and Sunday will be mostly sunny with high temperatures in the middle 70s.
Monday will be partly sunny and pleasant with high temperatures in the upper 70s. A front will be slowly moving through the area on Tuesday and Wednesday, bringing chances of showers and thunderstorms each day and highs near 80.

NOTES:
The Storm Prediction Center says that there is a SLIGHT RISK of severe thunderstorms for Thursday and Thursday night over much of Wisconsin. A warm front will be lifting northward through Wisconsin on Thursday, and a cold front will be approaching northwestern Wisconsin by late Thursday afternoon or Thursday night. South of the warm front and ahead of the cold front, the air will be very warm and humid. Thunderstorms from Wednesday night into Thursday morning along the warm front will move through Wisconsin. While some strong thunderstorms with heavy rain and gusty winds are possible with these thunderstorms, the threat for severe weather will be greatest over Minnesota and northwestern Wisconsin. As the cold front begins to approach Wisconsin late in the day! , thunderstorms will develop in western and northwestern Wisconsin, an d should move through the state at night. High winds, hail, and heavy rainfall are possible with these thunderstorms, with the severe weather threat lessening overnight as the atmosphere cools down.
