High pressure will build into the Midwest for the weekend, bringing quiet and pleasant weather to the region. Saturday and Sunday will be mostly sunny with high temperatures in the lower 70s Saturday and middle 70s Sunday. Overnight lows will remain near 50.
Monday will be partly sunny and mild with high temperatures in the upper 70s. A warm front will move up into the Midwest on Tuesday, leading to another chance of showers and thunderstorms. Low pressure moving along this front will move through on Wednesday, continuing the showers and thunderstorms. Highs will be in the mid to upper 70s.
After the low passes, very cool air will rush in behind the system. There will still be a slight chance of showers Thursday as highs drop into the mid 60s. Skies will become partly sunny on Friday and highs will drop even further to unseasonably cool highs near 60.
