Southern Wisconsin weather

7 Day Forecast

Haddie McLean

A low pressure system will move toward Wisconsin today. This will bring a few showers and thunderstorms to the area, mainly SW of Dane county this morning.  It will become more humid with highs in the upper 70s.

The area of low pressure will move across Wisconsin tonight through Wednesday, bringing numerous showers and thunderstorms to the area. This will be a powerful fall-like system that could bring significant rainfall, the possibility for isolated severe storms, and very windy conditions as it passes through the state. Highs on Wednesday will be in the lower 70s, but temperatures will fall quickly Wednesday afternoon or evening after the passage of a cold front.

After the cold front and low pressure system pass, very cool air will rush into Wisconsin. Skies will be partly sunny on Thursday with highs only reaching the upper 50s. A chance for rain showers will develop Friday with quite cool temperatures remaining in the upper 50s.

The weekend looks mainly dry and we will see a slow warming trend. Highs will reach the lower 60s Saturday and the middle 60s Sunday. There is a slight chance for a shower late Sunday afternoon or Sunday evening. Next Monday should be partly sunny and milder with highs in the upper 60s.
