A cold front will move through the area this evening and a few showers or isolated thunderstorms are possible. The rain threat will end by midnight with just partly cloudy skies after that. It will turn cooler and less humid overnight with lows falling to the middle 50s. A little patchy fog may form overnight.
Tuesday will be pleasant with partly sunny skies and highs in the upper 70s. There will be just a slight chance for a shower north of Dane county in the afternoon. Mostly clear skies and comfortable conditions are expected Tuesday night with lows in the upper 50s.
Heat and humidity will return on Wednesday. Skies will be partly sunny with high temperatures in the lower 80s. A warm front moving into the area on Thursday will bring scattered showers and thunderstorms. The front will lift north of the area during the day, leading to high temperatures in the middle to upper 80s. On Friday, a cold front will pass through with scattered ! showers and thunderstorms. temperatures will fall back into the lower 80s.
It now appears that high pressure will build into the Midwest for next weekend behind the cold front, bringing several days of quiet and pleasant weather. Saturday will be partly sunny and Sunday will be mostly sunny with high temperatures in the middle 70s.
On Monday, winds will pick up out of the south, bringing warm and humid weather back to the area. High temperatures will reach the middle 80s. Showers and thunderstorms will develop Monday night.
