Skies will remain mostly cloudy this evening, but will become partly cloudy overnight. Winds will gradually weaken out of the west/northwest, and temperatures will fall into the lower 40s by late evening. Overnight low temperatures will fall to the middle 30s by morning.
High pressure will return on Wednesday with partly sunny skies and high temperatures near 50 degrees. Thursday will be variably cloudy and seasonably cool with highs once again near 50 degrees. A cold front passing through the area on Thursday night will bring a chance for light rain or snow showers to southern Wisconsin.
Light rain and snow showers will end early on Halloween Friday. Skies will become partly sunny, and it will be windy and colder with highs only in the lower 40s. Temperatures will drop quickly Friday evening. Trick-or-Treaters will need to dress warmly with temperatures falling into the middle and upper 30s in the evening.
This weekend, hi! gh pressure will be directly over southern Wisconsin on Saturday. It will be sunny and chilly, with low temperatures Saturday morning in the lower 20s, while afternoon temperatures will only climb to the middle 40s. As the high moves to the east on Sunday, increasing southerly winds will boost high temperatures back into the lower 50s. Skies will be partly sunny Sunday, followed by increasing clouds at night with a chance for showers developing.
Monday will be mostly cloudy and breezy with scattered showers and highs near 50 degrees. Quiet weather will follow for Tuesday with partly sunny skies and chilly high temperatures in the middle 40s.
