Tonight will be mostly cloudy and cold with temperatures falling into the upper teens by early Thursday morning. Scattered snow showers and flurries are possible as a weak wave of low pressure passes through the region. Thursday will be variably cloudy and continued unseasonably cold with a chance for flurries; high temperatures will be in the upper 20s. Thursday night will become partly cloudy and quite cold with lows in the lower teens.
High pressure will move into southern Wisconsin Friday with mostly sunny skies and temperatures remaining unseasonably cold with highs in the upper 20s. Low temperatures will dip into the lower teens again Saturday morning.
Skies will become mostly cloudy on Saturday, with light snow developing in the afternoon. Minor snow accumulations of 1-2" will be possible Saturday night. Any flurries will end early on Sunday. High temperatures for both Saturday and Sunday will reach the upper 20s, well below normal h! igh temperatures that should be in the middle 40s.
A reinforcing shot of cold air will arrive on Monday, with windy conditions, scattered flurries, and even colder highs in the middle 20s. Tuesday will be partly sunny, breezy, and continued cold with highs in the middle 20s.
Some moderation will finally take place Wednesday with partly sunny skies and highs returning to the 30s.
