As a winter storm moves to the northeast, snow will gradually taper to snow showers or flurries tonight. Another 1-2" of snow accumulation is possible this evening, mainly near Madison and in areas to the north and east.. This will result in total storm accumulations of 2-5", with the heaviest amounts well north of Madison. Blowing snow is possible through tonight, especially in rural areas. Temperatures will fall into the middle 20s by late evening; overnight low temperatures will fall to the upper teens by early Tuesday morning. 

Any lingering flurries will end early on Tuesday, followed by skies becoming partly sunny. High temperatures will only reach the middle 20s. Wednesday will be mostly cloudy with a chance for light snow and flurries. Accumulations around an inch will be possible. Highs will reach the upper 20s.

Thanksgiving Day will be quite cold with partly sunny skies; expect high temperatures to top out only near 20 degree! s. As milder weather arrives later Thursday night into Friday, skies will be mostly cloudy with a period of light snow, sleet, or freezing rain possible. High temperatures will reach the lower 30s.

Saturday will be mostly cloudy, breezy, and not as cold with a little drizzle possible late in the day. High temperatures will reach the upper 30s. Sunday will be variably cloudy, breezy, and colder with a few flurries possible. Highs will be near 30 degrees. Next week will start out with Monday being partly sunny and seasonably cold with high temperatures in the middle 30s.

Additional snow accumulation of 1-2" overnight, especiall y near Madison and areas to the northeast. Total storm accumulations of 2-5", with the heaviest amounts well north of Madison.

In Wisconsin, this includes the counties of: MONROE, JUNEAU, ADAMS, MARQUETTE, GREEN LAKE, VERNON, RICHLAND, SAUK, COLUMBIA, CRAWFORD, IOWA, DANE, GRANT, LAFAYETTE, GREEN, and ROCK (this includes the La Crosse and Madison metropolitan areas).

A WINTER WEATHER ADVISORY is in effect until 6 AM Tuesday morning for southeastern Wisconsin including the counties of DODGE, JEFFERSON, and WALWORTH (this includes the Milwaukee metropolitan area).
