On Election Day, showers should end as the cold front moves east of Wisconsin, with skies gradually becoming partly sunny later in the day. High temperatures for the day occurred just after midnight and the mercury will slowly fall back to the upper 40s by late afternoon. It will be breezy with southwesterly winds turning westerly. Skies will be mostly clear tonight and it will be colder with lows in the middle 30s.
On Wednesday, skies will become increasingly cloudy with a chance for showers late in the day, but more likely after dark. High temperatures will reach the lower 50s. As another cold front passes on Wednesday night, colder air may cause rain showers to mix with snow. On Thursday, rain and snow showers will gradually come to an end, with skies becoming partly sunny in the afternoon. It will be cooler with high temperatures in the lower 40s. Friday will be another chilly day with partly sunny skies and high temperatures in the middle ! 40s.
The next weather system will move into the state Friday night with rain and snow showers developing before changing to snow showers by early Saturday morning. Saturday will be mostly cloudy, windy and cold with snow showers and flurries continuing; high temperatures will only reach the middle to upper 30s. Sunday will be partly sunny, breezy, and cold as well with high temperatures in the upper 30s.
Another weather system will bring snow showers or flurries from Sunday night into Monday with breezy winds ushering in a reinforcing shot of cold air. High temperatures on Monday will only reach the middle to upper 30s.
