In the wake of a departing winter storm, skies will remain mostly cloudy this evening with any lingering flurries ending as temperatures fall into the middle 20s by late evening. Skies will become partly cloudy overnight with low temperatures falling to the middle teens by morning. Brisk winds could cause wind chills to fall to near zero by morning.
Skies will become increasing cloudy on Wednesday as a weak weather system approaches from the northwest. It will be breezy and unseasonably cold with high temperatures only reaching the upper 20s. Skies will become mostly cloudy on Wednesday night with a chance for flurries toward morning. Thursday will be variably cloudy, breezy, and continued unseasonably cold with a chance for flurries; high temperatures will remain in the upper 20s.
High pressure will move into southern Wisconsin Friday with mostly sunny skies and high temperatures in the upper 20s. Low temperatures will remain in ! the teens through Saturday morning.
A weather system will bring increasing cloudiness on Saturday, and a chance for light snow or flurries late in the day, with light snow likely at night. Any flurries will end early on Sunday, before skies become partly sunny. High temperatures for both Saturday and Sunday will only top out near 30 degrees, well below normal high temperatures that should be in the lower 40s .
The unseasonably cold air will continue into next week. Skies will be mostly cloudy, and there is a chance for flurries Monday with high temperatures in the upper 20s. Skies on Tuesday will be partly sunny, but it still will remain cold with high temperatures approaching 30 degrees.
