A large area of low clouds will persist across much of the Midwest for a while longer. Mostly cloudy skies will continue overnight, with patchy fog possibly forming in a few spots. Temperatures will remain nearly steady in the 20s this evening; overnight low temperatures will fall to the lower 20s by morning.

Thursday will still be mostly cloudy and seasonably cold with high temperatures in the middle 30s. Thursday night will remain mostly cloudy with patchy fog possibly forming again.

Milder Pacific air will gradually head into the Midwest from Friday through the weekend, leading above-normal temperatures. On Friday, skies should finally become partly sunny with high temperatures reaching the middle 40s, On Saturday, skies will become mostly cloudy again with high temperatures in the upper 40s. On Sunday, skies will be mostly cloudy with a chance for showers to develop, mainly late in the day or at night. High temperatures will once ! again reach the upper 40s.

Skies will be mostly cloudy on Monday with the threat for rain showers continuing. High temperatures will reach the middle 40s. As temperatures cool down on Monday night the rain showers may mix with or change to snow showers. After the system passes, snow showers and flurries will end early Tuesday. Mostly cloudy skies may partially clear later in the day. Temperatures will be seasonably cold again with high temperatures in the middle 30s. On Wednesday, skies will be partly sunny with high temperatures in the lower 30s.
