As milder weather moves across the Midwest, tonight will be mostly cloudy with fog and drizzle. Patchy freezing drizzle may be possible where temperatures can drop below freezing, mainly north of Madison. Temperatures will remain nearly steady in the 30s overnight.
Mild weather is expected for the weekend. On Saturday, fog should lift in the morning, then skies will become variably cloudy. It will be mild with high temperatures in the lower to middle 40s. Skies will become mostly cloudy on Saturday night with fog and drizzle redeveloping. Sunday will be mostly cloudy and quite mild with fog and drizzle continuing. High temperatures will be in the upper 40s.
Skies will be mostly cloudy on Monday with fog and drizzle in the morning. As a storm system approaches Wisconsin, rain showers should develop during the afternoon. High temperatures will still be mild, reaching the middle 40s. As the storm moves through Wisconsin on Monday night, ! a cold front will sweep through southern Wisconsin. As temperatures turn colder on Monday night, the rain showers will mix with and change to snow showers by early Tuesday morning. After the system passes, Tuesday will remain mostly cloudy with snow showers and flurries continuing. Minor snow accumulations may be possible. Temperatures on Tuesday will start out in the lower 30s, but should hold steady or slowly fall during the day into the 20s in the afternoon.
On Wednesday, skies will be partly sunny with high temperatures in the lower 30s. Skies will become mostly cloudy on Thursday as a storm well to our south is close enough to bring a chance of flurries. High temperatures will remain in the lower 30s. Skies will become partly sunny on Friday with high temperatures reaching the middle 30s.
Another storm system may affect the area from next Friday night into Saturday. Skies will turn cloudy on Friday night, with light snow possibly developing late ! at night. Saturday will be mostly cloudy and breezy with a chance for snow, possibly mixed for a time with rain as high temperatures reach the middle 30s. As it turns colder Saturday night, all precipitation will be in the form of snow before ending. Sunday will be partly sunny with seasonably cold weather. High temperatures will be in the lower 30s.
