Skies will become partly cloudy tonight, and it will be seasonably cold. Temperatures will fall to the lower 20s by late evening; overnight low temperatures will fall to the middle to upper teens by morning.
Thursday will be partly sunny and seasonably cold with high temperatures reaching the lower 30s. Friday will be partly sunny with similar high temperatures reaching the middle 30s.
Skies will remain partly sunny on Saturday with high temperatures in the middle 30s. On Sunday, southerly winds will bring some moisture into the Midwest. Skies will become mostly cloudy with a chance for drizzle or flurries late in the day; high temperatures will reach the middle 30s. As temperatures drop below freezing at night, flurries are possible, and drizzle may change to freezing drizzle.
A complex storm system will take shape across the Midwest from Monday into Tuesday and Christmas Eve Wednesday. On Monday, it will be mostly cloudy ! and breezy with snow shower, possibly mixed with rain. High temperatures will reach the middle 30s. Mostly cloudy skies with snow showers will continue on Tuesday with minor accumulations possible; high temperatures will reach the lower to middle 30s. As an area of low pressure moves to the southeast and east of Wisconsin on Christmas Eve Wednesday, it will merge with another low pressure system, and may rapidly intensify. It will become very windy on Christmas Eve day with light snow and flurries. Minor snow accumulations are once again possible. High temperatures will reach the upper 20s. Flurries will come to an end early Christmas Day, with variably cloudy skies expected. Winds will remain strong on Christmas Day before slowly diminishing. High temperatures will remain in the upper 20s. There is a chance for snow to redevelop later on Thursday (Christmas Day) night as another storm system approaches the Midwest.
