Tonight will be mostly cloudy with areas of fog and drizzle. Temperatures will fall to the middle 30s by late evening. As it turns colder overnight after the passage of a cold front, low temperatures will fall to the lower 30s by morning, and drizzle may change to flurries.
On Christmas Eve, it will be cloudy, breezy, and a little colder with rain and snow showers. In the afternoon, a storm system will pass east of Wisconsin. Light snow will develop to the east of Madison, where some minor accumulations may be possible. A little more significant accumulations of several inches is possible from Milwaukee southward into the Chicago area. High temperature will be in the middle to upper 30s, but temperatures will hold steady or slowly fall in the afternoon. The snow will end Wednesday evening, otherwise it will be mostly cloudy and a little colder with low temperatures falling to the lower to middle 20s by early Christmas Day morning. Christmas! Day will be variably cloudy and quite mild with high temperatures near 40 degrees.
Skies will be mostly cloudy on Friday with a chance for rain or snow showers late in the day as another low pressure system moves through Wisconsin. Highs on Friday will reach the upper 30s. The mix of precipitation will change to snow showers or flurries Friday night.
Flurries will come to an end early Saturday, and the weather for the remainder of the weekend will be quiet. Skies will be partly sunny each day with high temperatures reaching the middle 20s on Saturday and the upper 20s on Sunday.
The weather looks to be considerably colder to end the year. Skies will be variably cloudy on Monday and Tuesday with a slight chance for flurries. High temperatures will only reach the middle 20s on Monday, and the upper teens on Tuesday.
New Year's Eve will be partly sunny and New Year's Day will be mostly sunny. It will be very cold with high temperatures in t! he upper teens, and low temperatures will be near zero. Midnight tempe ratures on New Year's Eve night will be near 5 degrees.
