Skies will becoming increasingly cloudy this evening as a weak weather disturbance approaches Wisconsin. Temperatures will fall to the middle 20s by late evening. Overnight, skies will become mostly cloudy and there is a slight clance for flurries. Low temperatures will fall to the middle teens.
Monday will be mostly cloudy and a little colder with a slight chance flurries, mainly in the morning as the disturbance moves eastward. High temperatures will reach the middle 20s. As skies clear Monday night, it will turn colder with low temperatures falling to the middle single digits by morning, with wind chills as cold as -10.
The year 2014 will end on the cold side. Tuesday will be mostly sunny, breezy, and colder with high temperatures only reaching the upper teens. On Tuesday night, low temperatures will fall to around zero, with wind chills as cold as -15 degrees. New year's Eve Wednesday will be partly sunny, breezy, and very col! d with high temperatures in the upper teens. Winds will die down in the evening, and although temperatures will fall to around 10 degrees by around midnight, after the New year begins, temperatures may start climbing slowly through the teens for the remainder of the night. New Year's Day Thursday will be partly sunny and not as cold with high temperatures reaching the upper 20s,
A storm system will develop in the southern Plains on Friday, and head northeastward toward the Midwest for Friday night and Saturday. Skies will become increasingly cloudy on Friday, and there is a chance for flurries or freezing drizzle in the afternoon as high temperatures reach the lower 30s. On Friday night, the storm will spread a mixture of snow, sleet, freezing rain, and possibly some rain into Wisconsin. As the storm moves east of Wisconsin on Saturday afternoon, windy and colder weather will sweep through, changing the mix of precipitation to snow by afternoon, with some accumulatio! n possible. High temperatures on Saturday will reach the lower to midd le 30s in the morning before temperatures fall back into the 20s in the afternoon. Sunday will be variably cloudy and colder with a chance for flurries; high temperatures will be in the upper 20s. Another chance for more general snow will arrive Sunday night.
