Skies will become partly cloudy this evening as a weak weather disturbance moves to our south. Temperatures will fall to the middle teens by late evening. Overnight, expect skies to become mostly clear, and it will be colder as low temperatures fall to the middle single digits. Wind chills could drop to as low as -10 by morning.

Tuesday will be mostly sunny, breezy, and colder. High temperatures will only reach the middle teens. With clear skies Tuesday night, temperatures will fall to around zero by morning, with wind chills as cold as -20 degrees.

New Year's Eve Wednesday will be partly sunny, breezy, and very cold with high temperatures in the middle teens. Temperatures should fall to around 10 degrees by midnight as the New Year begins. After midnight, temperatures may hold steady or slowly climb through the teens.

Skies on New Year's Day Thursday will become increasingly cloudy with a chance for a few flurries in t! he afternoon and evening. It will not be as cold with high temperatures reaching the upper 20s. Friday will be variably cloudy and seasonably cold with a chance for flurries; high temperatures will top out near 30 degrees.

A storm system will develop in the southern Plains on Friday, and head northeastward toward the Midwest for the weekend. As the storm heads northeastward on Saturday, skies will become mostly cloudy, and a chance for snow will develop, mainly late in the day. High temperatures will reach the lower 30s. Some snow accumulation is possible for Saturday night. On Sunday, the storm will head east, with windy and much colder weather following in its wake as snow tapers to flurries and ends. Skies may become partly sunny in the afternoon. High temperatures will reach the upper teens early, but temperatures will fall through the teens during the day.

Monday will be partly sunny and very cold. Low temperatures will be around zero with wind chills ! as cold as -20; high temperatures will be in the upper teens. Skies wi ll become mostly cloudy on Monday night as the next chance for snow arrives.
