As skies clear Sunday night, bitterly cold air arrives with low temperatures falling into the single digits below zero, and wind chills dropping to as low as -30 by Monday morning. Clouds will increase again on Monday as another weather system approaches Wisconsin, with high temperatures only reaching the upper single digits. Snow will develop late Monday afternoon or Monday night, continuing into Tuesday before tapering to flurries. Some accumulation is possible. It will turn windy and colder by Tuesday afternoon with high temperatures near 10 degrees before temperatures fall back through the single digits in the afternoon.
Bitterly cold air that may be the coldest of the season arrives Tuesday nig! ht. As skies clear, but winds remain brisk over the fresh snow cover, temperatures may nosedive to -10 or colder, with wind chills around -30 by Wednesday morning. Wednesday will be mostly sunny, but still breezy and bitterly cold with high temperatures only reaching the middle single digits.
