An area of low pressure will move through the region tonight and Monday, bringing a mix of precipitation to southern Wisconsin. Light snow, light sleet, and patchy freezing drizzle will develop overnight as temperatures hold nearly steady around 30 degrees. Although accumulations will be light, it may be enough to make the Monday morning commute a bit slick. Light snow and sleet will continue Monday morning, with a chance for light rain or drizzle Monday afternoon as temperatures warm above freezing.
Behind the low pressure system, it will be a little colder for Tuesday and Wednesday. There will be sunshine with highs reaching the lower 30s.
Milder Pacific air will gradually head into the Midwest Thursday and Friday, leading to temperatures that will be above normal for this time of the year. Thursday will be mostly sunny and milder with high temperatures in the upper 30s. By Friday, highs will be in the upper 40s with partly sunny skies.
Mild air will continue to build across the region next weekend with highs near 50 degrees. Skies will be partly sunny on Saturday. Sunday will be mostly cloudy with a chance for rain showers, especially late in the day or at night.
