A large area of low clouds will persist across much of the Midwest into the weekend.  It will be mostly cloudy this afternoon with highs only reaching the lower 30s. Tonight will remain mostly cloudy with patchy fog possibly forming again as lows drop into the mid 20s.

Milder Pacific air will gradually head into the Midwest from Friday through the weekend, leading above-normal temperatures. On Friday, skies will clear slightly, leading to high temperatures reaching the lower 40s, On Saturday, skies will still be variably cloudy with mild high temperatures in the middle 40s.  Patchy fog and areas of drizzle will return on Sunday, but it should be the warmest day of this stretch, with highs in the upper 40s.

Skies will be mostly cloudy on Monday with scattered rain showers. High temperatures will reach the lower to middle 40s. As temperatures cool down on Monday night the rain showers will mix with and change to light snow showers and fl! urries. After the system passes, flurries will end on Tuesday, leaving little to no accumulation. Temperatures will be seasonably cold again with high temperatures in the middle 30s.

On Wednesday, skies will be partly sunny with high temperatures in the lower 30s. Clouds will increase again on Thursday with a chance of rain/snow showers late in the day and highs in the mid 30s. Any light snow will end Friday with highs remaining in the mid 30s.
