Posted On Jan 25 2015 03:44:49 PM CST

Mostly clear skies early this evening will give way to increasingly cloudy skies tonight. Temperatures will be colder, falling into the lower teens by early Monday morning. Another fast-moving low pressure system will move out of the northwest on Monday, bringing light snow showers and patchy freezing drizzle to southern Wisconsin. Minor snow accumulations around an inch will be possible for most of southern Wisconsin. High temperatures will reach the upper 20s. The chance for light snow will continue into Monday night, and may be mixed with some patchy freezing drizzle. Temperatures will fall into the lower 20s by early Tuesday morning.

Another surge of milder weather will arrive for the middle of the week. Skies will become partly sunny on Tuesday with high temperatures reaching the lower to middle 30s. Wednesday will be partly sunny, breezy, and milder with high temperatures in the upper 30s. One area of low pressure from the northwest and an! other from the southwest will merge over Wisconsin on Wednesday night. Light rain and snow showers will develop, but will change to light snow late Wednesday night as temperatures fall below freezing. Any lingering snow showers will taper to flurries on Thursday. Temperatures on Thursday will reach the lower to middle 30s in the morning, but will fall in the afternoon. Friday will be partly sunny and colder with high temperatures back in the middle 20s.

The weekend will bring some light snow and flurry chances. Light snow will develop Friday night into Saturday, and flurries are possible Sunday. Weekend highs will only reach the lower 20s.
