A large winter storm will move through southern Wisconsin from tonight into Sunday. Show showers will begin this evening in SW Wisconsin and then spread across the area tonight; snowfall amounts of 2-5" are likely by morning with the heaviest amounts south of Madison. It will become windy with low temperatures falling to the upper teens by early Sunday morning. Sunday will be cloudy, windy, and colder with snow tapering off late in the day. Total snowfall amounts will be 3-6" for areas north of Madison and 6-10" for areas south of Madison. High temperatures will start out near 20 degrees, but should fall through the teens in the afternoon.

By Monday, very cold weather will return to Wisconsin. Skies will be partly sunny, but it will be quite cold. Wind chills may be as cold as -5 to -15 early Monday morning with low temperatures starting in the lower single digits. High temperatures will only make it to the mid to upper teens.  

Two fast mo! ving weather systems will then move through the area Monday night and Tuesday afternoon, bringing light snow and a brief moderation in temperatures. High temperatures on Tuesday will be in the lower to middle 20s. Any flurries will end by Wednesday morning, but it will be breezy and turning colder again with highs in the mid teens and temperatures falling in the afternoon. 

Thursday will be partly sunny, but very cold with low temperatures in the single digits below zero and high temperatures in the middle teens. Wind chills will be as cold as -20 Thursday morning. Friday will be partly sunny, breezy and not as cold with high temperatures reaching the lower to middle 20s.

For next weekend, Saturday will be breezy and milder with high temperatures jumping into the lower to middle 30s. Skies will be mostly cloudy with a chance for rain and snow showers. Sunday will be variably cloudy and seasonably cool with another chance of rain and snow showers and hi! gh temperatures near 30 degrees.

In Illinois, this includes the counties of JO DAVIESS! and STEPHENSON.

WINTER STORM WARNING has been issued from 7 PM until Midnight early Sunday morning for far southern Wisconsin. This includes the counties of ROCK and WALWORTH.

A WINTER WEATHER ADVISORY has been issued from 7 PM until 9 PM Sunday evening for northeastern Iowa and southwestern Wisconsin. In Iowa, this includes the county of ALLAMAKEE. In Wisconsin, this includes the counties of RICHLAND and CRAWFORD.

A WINTER WEATHER ADVISORY has been issued from 9 PM until 9 PM Sunday evening for south-central ! Wisconsin, including the counties of SAUK, COLUMBIA, IOWA and DANE (this includes the Madison metropolitan area).
