Some of the coldest air of the season will arrive tonight, and will linger through at least Wednesday night. Partly cloudy skies this evening will become mostly clear overnight with temperatures falling to around -10 by early Wednesday morning. Wind chills will be dangerously cold, ranging from -25 to -40 by early Wednesday. Wednesday will be mostly sunny and windy with high temperatures staying below zero through the day. Wind chills will be as cold as -15 to -30, even during the afternoon. Wednesday night will again be dangerously cold with mostly clear skies and temperatures falling into the middle teens below zero by early Thursday. Wind chills will again be as cold as -40 by early Thursday morning.
Thursday will become mostly cloudy and windy with snow showers or flurries developing in the afternoon. High temperatures on Thursday afternoon will be in the upper single digits, but wind chills will range from -5 to -20. Friday will be partly ! sunny, windy, and bitterly cold again with morning low temperatures around -7 and wind chills from -20 to -30; afternoon high temperatures will only reach the lower single digits.
Saturday will be partly sunny and very cold with low temperatures near -12 and wind chills from -15 to -25. High temperatures will be near 10 with wind chills remaining below zero. Sunday won't be quite as cold with lows near zero and highs in the upper teens.
By Monday, highs will be near 20 degrees. We will finally warm back to near normal Tuesday with highs reaching the middle 20s. A chance for light snow or flurries will develop late Tuesday or Tuesday night.
