Lake effect snow showers and clouds across southeastern Wisconsin this morning will come to an end and skies will turn mostly sunny. It will still be cold with highs once again in the teens, but winds will remain light throughout the day. Skies will become mostly cloudy tonight, keeping temperatures from getting quite as bitter cold; in addition, light winds won't contribute to much of a wind chill. Low temperatures will fall to around zero. On Wednesday, expect variably cloudy skies and continued cold weather. A weak weather disturbance may bring a chance for a morning snow flurries. High temperatures will be near 20 degrees.
A gradual moderation in temperatures will continue from Thursday through Saturday. High temperatures will reach the upper 20s on Thursday, the lower to middle 30s on Friday, and in the middle to upper 30s on Saturday. A cold front will move through late in the day on Saturday, dropping high temperatures back to around 30 ! degrees on Sunday, which is still a few degrees above normal. Partly sunny and dry weather is expected through the weekend.
Skies will become mostly cloudy on Sunday night as a weak storm system approaches the Midwest, however, the timing on the storm is somewhat uncertain, as it is possible that it could hold off until as late as Monday night. If the storm arrives as forecast, Monday will be mostly cloudy with a chance for snow showers, possibly mixed with rain. High temperatures will be in the middle 30s.
