Skies will be mostly cloudy this afternoon with a chance of a few breaks in the clouds at times. High temperatures will be near 40 degrees with breezy southwest winds. Flurries and patchy freezing drizzle are possible tonight with temperatures falling into the upper 20s.

This weekend will begin mild with variably cloudy skies on Saturday and highs reaching the middle 30s. Snow will develop later Saturday night into Sunday as a low pressure system tracks through southern Wisconsin. The snow may mix with some sleet Sunday morning. Minor snow accumulations of 1-3" inches will be possible through Sunday. It will become breezy and a little colder with high temperatures reaching the lower to middle 30s Sunday morning before holding steady or slowly falling in the afternoon.

It will be variably cloudy with a continued chance for flurries on Monday. High temperatures will reach the middle to upper 20s. Tuesday will still be mostly cloudy with ! a chance for light snow or flurries early and some clearing possible in the afternoon; high temperatures will be near 30.

Another surge of milder weather will arrive for the middle of next week. Wednesday will be partly sunny, breezy, and milder with highs reaching the upper 30s. Thursday will also be mild with a chance for rain showers, possibly mixed with snow at times; high temperatures will reach the middle 30s and may fall in the afternoon.

A cold front will pass through Wisconsin Thursday night with any rain showers changing to snow before ending. Friday will be partly sunny and colder with highs dropping into the mid 20s. Another chance of snow will arrive Saturday with colder highs near 20.
