A fast-moving low pressure system moving through Wisconsin will bring continued light snow and patchy freezing drizzle to southern Wisconsin this afternoon. High temperatures will reach the middle to upper 20s. Most areas will see total snow accumulations around an inch to an inch and a half. Light snow, flurries, and freezing drizzle will gradually come to an end this evening, and areas of fog may develop overnight. Temperatures will fall into the lower 20s by early Tuesday morning.
Another surge of milder weather will arrive for the middle of the week. Skies will slowly become partly sunny on Tuesday with high temperatures reaching the lower 30s. Wednesday will be partly sunny, breezy, and milder with high temperatures in the middle to upper 30s. One area of low pressure from the northwest and another from the southwest will merge over Wisconsin on Wednesday night. Light rain and snow showers will develop, but will change to light snow late We! dnesday night as temperatures fall below freezing. Any lingering snow showers will taper to flurries on Thursday. Temperatures on Thursday will reach the lower to middle 30s in the morning, but will fall in the afternoon. Friday will be partly sunny and colder with high temperatures back in the middle 20s.
The weekend will bring some light snow and flurry chances. Light snow will develop late Friday night into Saturday, and flurries are possible Sunday. Weekend highs will only reach the lower to middle 20s.
