Mostly clear skies this evening will become increasingly cloudy overnight. It won't be as cold as temperatures hold nearly steady or slowly rise through the teens overnight. Wind chills will still be from 0 to -10 this evening.
Tuesday will be variably cloudy, windy, and not as cold with a chance for a few flurries. High temperatures will reach the upper 20s. A cold front will move through southern Wisconsin on Tuesday afternoon. On Tuesday night, skies will become partly cloudy and it will become very cold again. Low temperatures will fall to the middle single digits above zero, with wind chills as cold as 0 to -15 by Wednesday morning. Skies will be partly sunny on Wednesday, and it will be very cold again with high temperatures in the middle teens, while wind chills stay near zero. Wednesday night will be mostly clear and bitterly cold with near record low temperatures falling to the middle single digits below zero, while wind chills fall to -10 t! o -20 by morning.
Thursday will be partly sunny and bitterly cold. High temperatures will only climb to near 10 degrees. Friday will be mostly sunny and very cold with low temperatures falling to the middle single digits below zero, while high temperatures climb to the middle to upper teens.
Next weekend won't be as cold as much of this week. Saturday will be partly sunny and not quite as cold with high temperatures in the middle 20s. As low pressure develops in the southern Plains on Saturday and moves toward the Midwest, skies will become mostly cloudy and snow will develop later Saturday night, and will continue into Sunday. Some snow accumulation will be possible. High temperatures will be near 30 degrees on Sunday.
On Monday, the storm will move to the east, allowing any flurries to end early in the day. Skies will become partly sunny, and it will be breezy and a little colder with high temperatures in the middle 20s.
