Skies will be mostly clear tonight. it will be windy this evening, as temperatures fall to the upper teens by late evening. Overnight, winds will diminish and it will turn very cold as low temperatures will fall to the middle single digits by morning. Wind chills will fall to 0 to -15 by morning.
On Wednesday, skies will become mostly cloudy and it will be very cold with light snow developing in the afternoon. High temperatures will climb to the middle teens, with wind chills remaining near zero during the day. It will be mostly cloudy and very cold on Wednesday night with light snow and flurries; minor accumulations of 1-2" are possible, mainly southwest of Madison. Low temperatures will drop to near zero with wind chills from -10 to -20.
Thursday will be variably cloudy and very cold with scattered flurries. High temperatures will only climb to near 10 degrees, with wind chills from 0 to -10 during the day. Thursday night will become mostly c! lear and bitterly cold. Low temperatures will fall to between 5 and 10 below zero with wind chills from -10 to -20. Friday will be mostly sunny and very cold. High temperatures will reach the middle to upper teens.
Temperatures should moderate somewhat this weekend. Saturday will be partly sunny and not quite as cold with high temperatures in the lower 20s. Low pressure will develop in the southern Plains on Saturday and move toward the Midwest, bringing light snow or flurries to southern Wisconsin from later Saturday night through Sunday. Sunday will be mostly cloudy with high temperatures in the upper 20s.
Monday will be partly sunny with highs near 30 degrees. Another chance for light snow will develop Monday night through Tuesday. Highs on Tuesday will reach the upper 20s.
