Wednesday will be mostly cloudy, and it will become breezy and turn colder in the afternoon. High temperatures will reach the middle teens before temperatures fall during the afternoon. There is a slight chance for a little light snow or flurries south of Madison as a storm system passes by through Illinois.
As skies clear and winds diminish on Wednesday night, it will turn bitter cold. Low temperatures will fall to between -5 and -10, with wind chills from -10 to -20 by early Thursday morning. Thursday will be mostly sunny, but cold with high temperatures in the middle teens. It will become breezy in the afternoon.
On Thursday night, skies will b! ecome mostly cloudy, and temperatures will begin rising overnight. Friday will be mostly cloudy and milder with high temperatures near 30 degrees, with a chance of freezing drizzle or flurries developing.
Saturday will be mostly cloudy and mild with a chance for light snow late in the day, possibly mixed with rain. High temperatures will reach the lower to middle 30s. As temperatures cool below freezing on Saturday night, the mixed precipitation will change over to snow. Sunday will be mostly cloudy, breezy, and turning colder with snow tapering to flurries in the afternoon; some snow accumulation is possible. High temperatures will reach the upper 20s in the morning before holding steady or falling in the afternoon.
Monday will be partly sunny with seasonably cold high temperatures in the upper 20s. Clouds will increase on Tuesday with high temperatures near 30 and light snow developing late in the day.
