Today will start out with mostly cloudy skies as well as scattered flurries or patchy freezing drizzle.  As a cold front moves through the area this morning, winds will shift to the northwest and increase to 15-25 mph.  Temperatures will start out near 30, but fall through the 20s throughout the day as colder air pours in to southern Wisconsin.  Some partial clearing is possible late in the day.

As skies turn partly cloudy tonight, temperatures will fall into the lower single digits. Brisk winds will cause wind chills to be as cold as -10 to -20 by early Thursday morning. Thursday will be mostly sunny, breezy, and much colder with high temperatures only reaching the lower teens. Winds will gradually decrease Thursday afternoon. With partly cloudy skies on Thursday night, low temperatures will fall to just above zero. Friday will be mostly cloudy and cold with a chance for flurries or scattered light snow showers; high temperatures will reach the uppe! r teens.

Another shot of very cold weather will arrive early in the weekend. A cold front will sweep through southern Wisconsin Saturday morning with variably cloudy skies and a slight chance for flurries. Saturday will be windy and very cold with highs only reaching the middle single digits in the morning, before temperatures fall in the afternoon. Wind chills will be as cold as -20 throughout the day. Temperatures will turn bitterly cold Saturday night, falling well into the single digits below zero by early Sunday morning. Wind chills will be as cold as -10 to -20 through the night. Skies on Sunday will be increasingly cloudy with a chance for flurries late in the day or at night; high temperatures will be in the lower teens.

Partly sunny skies on Monday morning will become mostly cloudy in the afternoon. High temperatures will be near 20 degrees. As a storm system passes to our south, there is a chance for light snow Monday night into early Tuesday morning. !  The cold returns in full force by Tuesday, as skies turn partly sunny , winds become breezy, and high temperatures reach the middle teens early in the day, before temperatures fall into the single digits in the afternoon.

Increasing cloudiness, breezy, and very cold with a chance for flurries late in the day or at night.

Partly sunny in the morning, then becoming mostly cloudy and not as cold in the afternoon (a chance for light snow at night).

TUESDAY:
Mostly cloudy, becoming breezy, and colder with any snow ending, then becoming partly sunny.

High: 14; temperatures nearly steady/slowly falling into the single digits in the afternoon
