Skies will turn mostly cloudy this morning and temperatures will climb from the lower single digits. Scattered light snow showers will develop, but any accumulations will be less than 1/2". High temperatures will be in the lower to middle 20s. Scattered flurries will continue tonight as a cold front sweeps southward across Wisconsin. It will turn windy and very cold with low temperatures falling to the single digits. Wind chills will be as cold as -10 to -20 by early Saturday morning.
Bitterly cold weather will arrive for the weekend. Saturday will be partly sunny, windy, and bitterly cold. Temperatures will hold nearly steady in the middle single digits, but wind chills will be as cold as -5 to -20 through the day. With partly cloudy skies, low temperatures will be bitterly cold Saturday night, falling to near -10 by early Sunday morning; wind chills will be as cold as -15 to -25 through the night. Skies on Sunday will be partly sunny and it will! remain bitterly cold; high temperatures will be near 10 degrees. Skies will become mostly cloudy on Sunday night with a chance for flurries.
Monday will be mostly cloudy with scattered flurries and high temperatures in the upper teens.
A reinforcing shot of bitter cold arrives by Tuesday afternoon. Flurries will end and skies will become partly sunny, but it will become breezy and very cold. Temperatures will reach the middle teens in the morning before falling in the afternoon. Temperatures on Tuesday night will drop into the single digits below zero with wind chills as cold as -15 to -25 under partly cloudy skies. Wednesday will be partly sunny, breezy, and very cold with high temperatures in the lower teens. A chance for flurries will develop Wednesday night.
There is a slight chance for flurries early Thursday, otherwise skies will become partly sunny and it will remain very cold with high temperatures near 20. Friday will be variably cloudy wit! h a chance for flurries; it won't be quite as cold as high temperature s reach the middle 20s.
