Today will be variably cloudy and very cold with a slight chance for flurries. High temperatures will only top out around 10 degrees, with wind chills staying near zero for most of the day. Tonight, skies will become mostly clear and temperatures will turn bitterly cold. Low temperatures will fall to between 5 and 10 below zero with wind chills from -10 to -15. Friday will be mostly sunny and continued cold. High temperatures will reach the middle teens. We'll have one more bitterly cold night for Friday night with low temperatures falling to near 5 below zero, but with light winds, wind chills should not be a factor.

Temperatures should moderate somewhat this weekend. Saturday will be partly sunny and not quite as cold with high temperatures in the lower 20s. Low pressure will develop in the southern Plains on Saturday and move toward the Midwest, bringing light snow or flurries to southern Wisconsin from late Saturday night through Sunday. Sunday w! ill be mostly cloudy with high temperatures in the mid to upper 20s. Some minor accumulations are possible.

Monday will be partly sunny and seasonably cold with high temperatures near 30. Another low pressure system will move into the area late Monday night, and continue through on Tuesday. This has the potential to bring accumulating snow, along with a possibility for some sleet, rain or freezing rain as high temperatures climb just above the freezing mark.

After the storm system passes, it will be variably cloudy, breezy, and colder Wednesday with high temperatures in the mid 20s. Thursday will be variably cloudy, breezy and colder with highs near 20. Friday will be partly sunny with highs returning to the upper 20s.
