This afternoon will be mostly sunny, but very cold with highs only reaching the lower to middle teens. Skies will become increasingly cloudy tonight with lows in the lower single digits. Friday will be mostly cloudy with scattered flurries and highs near 20.

Another shot of very cold weather will arrive early in the weekend. A cold front will sweep through southern Wisconsin Saturday morning with partly sunny skies, windy conditions, and bitterly cold temperatures. Highs will only reach the middle single digits in the morning, before temperatures slowly fall Saturday afternoon. Wind chills will be as cold as -15 to -25 in the morning, and -10 to -20 in the afternoon. Temperatures will be bitterly cold Saturday night, falling near -10 by early Sunday morning. Wind chills will be as cold as -20 through the night.

Skies on Sunday will be increasingly cloudy and it will remain very cold; high temperatures will be near 10. Skies will become mos! tly cloudy on Sunday night with a chance of flurries developing and lows near zero. Monday will be variably cloudy with a slight chance of continued flurries and highs near 20.

The cold returns in full force on Tuesday. Light snow or flurries will end, and skies will become partly sunny in the afternoon, but it will become windy and turn colder as high temperatures reach the middle to upper teens before falling in the afternoon. Temperatures on Tuesday night will drop into the single digits below zero with wind chills as cold as -20.  Wednesday will be partly sunny, breezy, and very cold with high temperatures in the lower teens.

Thursday will be partly sunny and not quite as cold with highs near 20 and a chance of light snow late in the day. Friday will be partly sunny with highs remaining near 20.
