This afternoon will be mostly cloudy with a chance of a few isolated flurries and slightly warmer highs near 20. An arctic front will move through tonight, renewing the chance of flurries and bringing in even colder air and very windy conditions. Lows will drop into the single digits and wind chills will be as cold as -25 by morning.

Bitterly cold weather will arrive for the weekend. Saturday will become partly sunny after a chance of early flurries and it will be windy and bitterly cold. Temperatures will hold nearly steady in the middle single digits and wind chills will be as cold as -10 to -20 through the day. With mostly clear skies, low temperatures will be bitterly cold Saturday night, falling to near -10 by early Sunday morning; wind chills will be as cold as -15 to -25 through the night. Skies on Sunday will be increasingly cloudy and it will remain bitterly cold; high temperatures will be near 10 degrees.

A chance of flurries wil! l develop Sunday night and Monday will be mostly cloudy with scattered flurries and high temperatures in the upper teens.

A reinforcing shot of bitter cold arrives by Tuesday afternoon. Flurries will end and skies will be variably cloudy, but it will become breezy and very cold. Temperatures will reach the lower teens in the morning before holding steady or slowly falling in the afternoon. Temperatures on Tuesday night will drop near -10 with wind chills as cold as -10 to -25 under partly cloudy skies.  Wednesday will be partly sunny and bitterly cold with high temperatures in the upper single digits.

Thursday will be partly sunny, breezy and still cold with lows near -10 and highs that will reach the mid teens. On Friday there is another chance of light snow and it will be breezy and not as cold with highs in the mid 20s. Saturday will be partly sunny with highs remaining in the mid 20s.
