This afternoon will be mostly cloudy, windy, and not as cold with scattered light snow and flurries.  Minor accumulations up to one inch will be possible. High temperatures will reach the upper 20s. After the cold front from this system moves through, skies will be partly cloudy and it will become very cold again tonight. Low temperatures will fall to the middle single digits above zero, with wind chills as cold as -5 to -15 by Wednesday morning. Clouds will be increasing again on Wednesday and highs will be cold once again, topping out in the mid teens. There is another chance of light snow or flurries Wednesday night as lows drop just below zero with wind chills as cold as -20.

Thursday will be partly sunny and bitterly cold. High temperatures will only climb to near 10 degrees. Friday will be mostly sunny and very cold with low temperatures falling to the middle single digits below zero, while high temperatures climb to the middle to upper teens.

Next weekend won't be as cold as much of this week. Saturday will be partly sunny and not quite as cold with high temperatures in the lower to middle 20s. As low pressure develops in the southern Plains on Saturday and moves toward the Midwest, skies will become mostly cloudy and snow will develop later Saturday night, and will continue into Sunday. Some snow accumulation will be possible. High temperatures will be in the upper 20s on Sunday.

Monday will be partly sunny after that system departs and this time the cold air doesn't move back in, meaning highs near 30. There will be chances of light snow again Tuesday and Wednesday, but highs will stay near 30.
