More than a foot of snow has accumulated in some locations south and west of Madison. North and east of Madison, snow totals have ranged from trace amounts to three or four inches. Skies will be mostly cloudy this evening, and it will be chilly with temperatures falling to the upper 20s by late evening. Overnight, skies will become partly cloudy, and areas of fog may form as temperatures fall to the lower 20s by morning.

Tuesday will be mostly cloudy, and it will become windy with rain developing by late afternoon well southwest of Madison. High temperatures won't be as cold, climbing to around 40 degrees by late afternoon. 

Tuesday night will be mostly cloudy, breezy, and not as cold with occasional rain. The rain may be mixed with sleet and snow northwest of Madison for a time. Rain will come to an end Wednesday morning, and it will be breezy and a little milder with high temperatures in the upper 40s. Another chance for rain showers will dev! elop on Wednesday afternoon, before changing to flurries at night.

Colder air will settle across the area for the rest of the work week. Thursday will be mostly cloudy, breezy, and colder with light snow showers or flurries, possibly mixed with rain in the afternoon. High temperatures will be near 40. Friday will be partly sunny and cold with high temperatures in the middle 30s.

Milder weather should return over the weekend. Saturday will be partly sunny and breezy with high temperatures reaching the middle 40s. It will becom mostly cloudy, windy, and milder with rain showers developing on Saturday night. Sunday will be mostly cloudy, windy, and milder with a chance for rain showers. High temperatures will be near 50 degrees.

Monday will be partly sunny and pleasantly mild with high temperatures returning to the middle 50s.

Mostly cloudy, becoming windy, and not as cold with rain developing by late afternoon, mainly southwest of Madison.
