Low pressure building in from the west will bring mixed precipitation to southern Wisconsin tonight. Rain, sleet, freezing rain, and snow are possible. Snow accumulations of 1-3" are possible north and west of Madison, along with minor ice accumulations. Precipitation will diminish to flurries and freezing drizzle by morning. Temperatures will fall into the lower 30s by early Wednesday morning. Wednesday will be a little milder with a slight chance for rain showers. High temperatures will reach the middle 40s.
Colder air will settle across the area for the rest of the work week. Thursday will be mostly cloudy, breezy, and colder with a chance for sprinkles or flurries. Friday will be mostly sunny and even colder. High temperatures will reach the upper 30s Thursday, and the lower 30s Friday.
Milder weather should return over the weekend. Saturday will be partly sunny and breezy with high temperatures near 40 degrees. It will become mostly cloud! y and windy with rain showers developing late Saturday night. Sunday will be mostly cloudy, breezy, and milder with scattered rain showers. High temperatures will be in the upper 40s.
Monday will be partly sunny and seasonably cool with highs in the lower 50s. Tuesday will be partly sunny and milder with highs reaching the middle to upper 50s.
