As a weather system approaches southern Wisconsin on Sunday, skies will be mostly cloudy, and it will be breezy and colder. There is a chance for rain and snow showers later in the day as high temperatures only reach the upper 30s. On Sunday night, skies will remain mostly cloudy, and as temperatures fall below freezing, the rain and snow showers may change to a period of light freezing rain, and eventually to light snow. An inch or two of snow accumulation may be possible Sunday night.
As the system passes to the east on Monday morning, any flurries and freezing drizzle will end. Although skies will remain mostly cloudy, some clearing is possible in the afternoon. High temperatures will only reach the upper 30s again.
Skies will become increasingly cloudy on Tuesday as a warm front moves through Wisconsin. It will be breezy and milder as high temperatures climb to the lower 50s. Rain showers will develop later Tuesday afternoon or Tuesday night. A storm system will move through Wisconsin on Wednesday, bringing mostly cloudy and mild weather along with rain showers. High temperatures will reach the middle 50s.
After the system passes, a cold front will move through Wisconsin and any lingering rain showers may mix with flurries late on Wednesday night. Thursday will be variably cloudy, breezy and cooler with any rain showers or flurries ending. High temperatures will fall back to the lower to middle 40s. There may be a few more isolated flurries again on Thursday night as another cold front passes through Wisconsin. Friday will be partly sunny and chilly with high temperatures climbing to near 40 degrees.
Saturday will be partly sunny, breezy and milder with high tempe! ratures returning to the lower 50s. Rain showers will develop Saturday night and continue into Sunday as a storm system moves through Wisconsin. Sunday's high temperatures will drop back into the lower 40s, with temperatures slowly falling into the 30s during the day, causing rain showers changing over to light snow showers or flurries late in the day.
