Mostly sunny skies this morning and chilly conditions. Temperatures will start in the teens and lower 20s with patchy fog. Skies will turn mostly cloudy and it will become windy with rain developing by late afternoon well southwest of Madison. High temperatures won't be as cold, climbing to around 40 degrees by late afternoon.
Tonight will be mostly cloudy, breezy, and not as cold with occasional rain. The rain may be mixed with sleet and snow northwest of Madison for a time. Some light sleet or snow accumulation will be possible, especially north/northeast of Madison. Rain and mixed precipitation will come to an end Wednesday morning, and it will be breezy and a little milder with high temperatures in the upper 40s.
Colder air will settle across the area for the rest of the work week. Thursday will be mostly cloudy, breezy, and colder with light snow showers or flurries, possibly mixed with rain in the afternoon. High temperatures will be ! near 40. Friday will be partly sunny and cold with high temperatures in the middle 30s.
Milder weather should return over the weekend. Saturday will be partly sunny and breezy with high temperatures reaching the middle 40s. It will becom mostly cloudy, windy, and milder with rain showers developing on Saturday night. Sunday will be mostly cloudy, windy, and milder with a chance for rain showers. High temperatures will be near 50 degrees.
Monday will be partly sunny and pleasantly mild with high temperatures returning to the middle 50s.
