The Springtime can be a difficult time for forecasting, and today is proving that. Our northern viewing area saw some sunshine this morning, and temperatures are rising quickly in response. The southern part of our viewing area has more snow on the ground, which has allowed for very dense fog to develop this morning, keeping temperatures quite stable. As winds start to increase this afternoon, the fog will gradually diminish and temperatures will respond across all of southern Wisconsin. Skies will become partly sunny with highs reaching the lower 50s. A weak cold front will push through Wisconsin tonight, but the front will not generate any precipitation as it passes. Wednesday will be mostly sunny with highs reaching the lower to middle 50s. Thursday will be mostly sunny and milder again with highs in the middle 50s. A few more clouds are possible Friday as a wave of low pressure passes south of Wisconsin. Highs will reach the upper 50s.
Saturday will be variably cloudy and cooler with highs near 50 degrees. We'll see more sunshine on Sunday with highs remaining near 50 degrees. Monday looks to be partly sunny, breezy, and very mild with highs reaching the lower 60s. A chance for light rain will develop later Monday.
